  • The organisation operates for the benefit of the public and does not have profit generation as its primary objective.
  • The organisation is not a governmental body, political entity, commercial enterprise, or an educational institution.

  • The organisation can provide documentation verifying its non-profit status (e.g., official registration or tax-exempt certificate).

2. APPLICATION AND VERIFICATION

2.1

To participate in the Programme, organisations must go through an application and verification process to confirm eligibility. The process consists of the following steps:

  1. The organisation must first create an account on the .legal platform.
  2. Upon account creation, the organisation may submit an application for participation in the Programme via an online form.
  3. Temporary access to the platform is granted upon application submission.
  4. Verification may be conducted by .legal or a third-party entity (e.g., TechSoup) to confirm eligibility.
  5. If an organisation fails verification, access to the platform may be revoked at .legal’s discretion.

3. PROGRAMME ACCESS AND USAGE RESTRICTIONS

3.1

Approved organisations receive full access to the .legal platform, including all modules, except for certain premium features (e.g., AI Assistant), which may be excluded.

3.2

Programme access is granted on an indefinite basis, provided that the organisation continues to meet the programme's eligibility criteria. There is no requirement for annual renewal; however, periodic verification of eligibility may be conducted to ensure continued compliance with programme terms.

3.3

The licence must be utilised exclusively by the organisation and its directly affiliated entities for its stated non-profit mission. Misuse, including unauthorised distribution or application outside the stated purpose, may result in termination of access.

4. FEES AND PAYMENTS

4.1

Programme participation requires a symbolic fee of 1 EUR per month, exclusive of VAT and any applicable taxes.

4.2

The organisation shall comply with the general .legal Terms of Service ("TOS"). In case of conflict between these Non-Profit Terms and the general TOS, these Non-Profit Terms shall prevail for matters specifically related to the Programme.

6. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION
