New Mention Component: Smarter Tagging in Tasks
We’re excited to introduce our new mention component that enhances collaboration and organisation within our platform. With this update, you can now tag users and key entities directly in the comment field on a task, making it easier than ever to bring the right people and information into the conversation.
What Can You Tag?
This feature allows you to tag a wide range of entities, ensuring that tasks are linked to the relevant compliance elements.
You can mention:
- Users
- Processing activities
- Assets
- Legal entities
- Policies
- Incident log
- Annual wheel activities
- Audits and audit groups
- Classifications
- Documents
- Declarations
- Controls
How Does It Work?
To mention a person or link an entity simply press @, #, or / and a dropdown menu will be appear. The menu will display the five most recently created entities in each category. You can also continue typing to search for a specific entity, which will appear in the list.
You can now notify team members who need to take action or stay informed about a task. When you tag a user, they will receive an email notification with a direct link to the task, ensuring they can quickly access and respond to it. This streamlines communication and ensures that important updates don’t get missed.
What’s Next?
We’re already working on expanding this feature! Soon, you’ll be able to use the mention component across various areas of the platform, further enhancing collaboration and cross-referencing capabilities.
Add relations to a task
We’ve made it even easier to link relevant entities to your tasks! You can now add relationships directly from the relations box, giving you greater flexibility in managing task dependencies without needing to navigate elsewhere.
- Manual Control: You can manually create relationships within the relations box, giving you full control over how tasks and entities are connected. Simply click "Add relation" and choose the entity you wish to relate to the task.
- Automatic Linking: When you tag entities, such as assets or policies, in a comment on a task they will be automatically added to the relations section, ensuring seamless traceability.
When added, the entity will appear as a link to the related entity:

Enhanced task history
We’ve improved the history feature on tasks to give you full visibility into every change made. Now, all updates, big or small, are automatically logged, ensuring better traceability.
What’s Included in Task History?
With this update, you can now see a detailed log of changes, including:- Status updates – Track when a task moves from "Ongoing" to "Completed" and everything in between.
- Edits to task details – See changes in description, subtasks, deadlines, priority, assignees and much more.
- Mentions and relations – Know when assets, policies, or other entities are linked or unlinked.
