New features: .legal GRC platform - January 2025 🎆

Happy New Year! We’re kicking off 2025 with our first release of the year. You can now create annual wheel activities from scratch, customising them to your organisation's needs without templates. Also, you can schedule the same activity multiple times for different group companies, ensuring better alignment. Additionally, you can paste images directly into tasks and documents, and rename uploaded files without re-uploading.

Create an annual wheel activity without using a template

This new features offers users flexibility in planning and customising their annual wheel activities - without having to add a template. With this enhancement, you can now design activities from scratch, tailoring every detail to your organisation's specific needs and workflows. Simply click "Create activity" and start planning your activity. 

Of course, you can still use our pre-defined templates to save time and ensure consistency in your planning. Choose from GDPR, NIS2, ISO, or create your own templates for streamlined management.

An annual wheel activity is a task or event planned as part of the annual wheel to provide an overview of the year’s most important and strategic activities. It can be a recurring task or a one-time activity, as long as it is time-specific and significant for the overall planning. An example could be an annual review of your IT security policy.

Flexible scheduling for annual wheel activities across group companies

Previously, our annual wheel templates required each activity to be scheduled at the same time of year for all group companies. This presented a challenge for organisations needing to plan the same activity at different times of the year for various group companies. To address this, we have introduced the ability to create multiple instances of an activity from the same template. Now, you can easily schedule the same activity at different times for different group companies. For instance, Company A can validate its records of processing activities in January, while Company B carries out the same task in March. This added flexibility ensures seamless alignment with the unique schedules of your organisation.

Since it is now possible to schedule the same activity multiple times, we recommend naming each activity clearly and uniquely to ensure you can easily distinguish between them. 

Within the task management module, separate tasks will automatically be created for each group company. 

Updates to file upload 

You can now easily paste an image directly from your clipboard into a task or document dialogue. Simply press CTRL+V while the task or document dialogue is open, and the image will be pasted. Once pasted, the field for naming the file will become an active text field, allowing you to rename the image as needed.

Additionally, uploaded files can now be renamed without the need to delete and re-upload them. This improvement streamlines the process and makes file management much more efficient.
