Introducing the Compliance Dashboard 💥 (September 2024)

Written by Johannes Eyolf Aagaard | 26-Sep-2024 14:45:54

We are excited to announce the release of our new Compliance Dashboard. When you log into your .legal Compliance Platform, you'll notice it right away, as the dashboard is now your new starting point in the platform.

The main idea behind the dashboard is to give you a quick and easy overview of your most important tasks, allowing you to continue your work seamlessly from this page. We have designed a range of widgets with tailored content to support this purpose.

With the new dashboard, you'll have a clearer view of your progress, your key tasks, and more visual guidance throughout your compliance process.

Watch Johannes give a short presentation of the Compliance dashboard

Widgets

Key Numbers

Find the total number of Processing Activities, Assets, Vendors, and Tasks in your platform. These figures give you a clear overview of the amount of documentation you manage. Each of the boxes links you to the relevant section of the platform, should you wish to dive deeper into specific data.

Within Processing Activities, you'll find two additional pieces of information:

  • The number of completed processing activities out of your total (this widget checks whether the minimum documentation requirements are met).
  • The overall progress of your processing activity documentation.

Tasks

When it comes to tasks, there are two key categories you should have an immediate overview of. This is why the widget allows you to toggle between two views:

  • Tasks this month: Get an overview of deadlines for the current month and navigate directly to tasks that need completing. Use this view to ensure you stay on top of your tasks this month.
  • Overdue tasks: If any tasks from previous months have missed their deadline, you'll see an overview of all overdue tasks that still require action.

Task Overview

The task overview provides another level of insight. You'll see a graph displaying the total number of tasks planned for each month of the calendar year. Each bar in the graph is color-coded to show task status-whether completed, overdue, planned, or ongoing.

You can hover over each bar to get more detailed information on the tasks for that month.

Risks

Your risk assessments play a crucial role in your compliance documentation. When you identify a high or very high risk, it's essential to address it with a mitigation plan. The risk widget highlights risks that have scored high or very high in your assessments.

You can view your risks across different compliance areas and switch perspectives between processing activities and assets. This allows you to monitor high risks from multiple angles.

Latest Audit Submissions

As part of your compliance efforts, you will likely conduct various audits and assessments. For instance, assessments of data processors or internal awareness assessments with colleagues.

This widget serves as your inbox, giving you an overview of the latest submissions. Typically, these will be the audits requiring your attention. Toggle between submitted external and internal assessments to keep track of both.

Incidents by Severity

When logging incidents in your incident log, you can now assign each incident a severity score, ranging from very low to very high. The incident widget displays how your registered incidents are distributed based on their severity. This gives you a clear view of both the number of incidents logged and their urgency.

Use the dashboard in Groups

If you're already using the .legal compliance platform in a group setting with multiple companies, you'll also be able to use the dashboard this way. Get a complete overview of compliance across all your entities, or drill down into a specific group company to see the overview at that level.

The dashboard on a user and company level

You can use the dashboard at both the company level and the user level. This means you can toggle between all tasks and documentation across the organisation, or focus solely on your own responsibilities—such as tasks assigned to you or assessments where you're the responsible party. In this way, the dashboard serves as both a full organisational overview and your personal "to-do list."

Coming soon and ideas

In the near future, we will be adding an export function to the dashboard, allowing you to generate a PDF report based on the dashboard data. You’ll also have the option to add comments to the report, making it useful as a management report with your own notes.

As you begin using the dashboard, if you have an idea for the perfect widget, feel free to contact us. We always welcome feedback and ideas for further development.

Now, log in to the .legal compliance platform and enjoy the new dashboard!
